October 2010

A regular annual event for us now, we attended the Association for Project Management Conference held in London on the 21st October.

A highlight of the event was Stephen Calver's presentation using a particularly stomach churning scene from Gladiator to explore the different elements of project management and how they could be applied. Both arresting and thought provoking.

Tweeting on Twitter @MaciverProjects, our thoughts and feedback on the goings on throughout the day were provided for anyone how could not make it but with an interest in current trends and thinking.

We enjoyed meeting up with both clients and colleagues throughout the day.

It was great to see a number of familiar faces and proof that the Scotland Chapter is keeping active in our Region.

With all we have learnt from our recent research project with Napier University, we want to take the opportunity to share our knowledge with our clients and colleagues. To do this we have launched our Blog "Change Happens".

Change Happens is a place for us all to explore and engage with our community and clients on the finer details of project and change management. We will look at the major methodologies in the field and share our knowledge and experience of delivering change using them. We will also look at how and where improvements in our field can be made. We hope you will take the opportunity to visit Change Happens and engage in the debates.
